‘Everyone has two lives. The second one begins when you realize you have only one.’
I decided to write a blog for a number of reasons. Originally, I wanted to share my adventure, when I rode my bike across America in 2018, with my family and friends. Whilst doing this I realized that I could also try to show others that a disease does not have to define you, only you can do that. During my ride, the blog became a link with other lymphoma patients, a diary to place my thoughts and fears, a connection to friends and community.
Now I hope, through my cycling adventures, I can maybe inspire others to take on their challenges, raise awareness about Waldonstrom’s and hopefully raise some much needed research funds, that one day may help find a cure for this lymphoma.
